About the role

As Adapt’s Front-end Developer, you’ll own the look, feel, and performance of our web and embedded chat interfaces. You’ll translate product requirements into polished, responsive user experiences that let business leaders and analysts interact intuitively with AI-driven insights.

What you'll do

Build Core Application Features
- Develop user-facing interfaces using Next.js, styled with Tailwind, and build rich data visualizations
- Implement server-side logic and APIs with Node.js and Express.js to power core product features
- Work with databases and cloud storage to ensure efficient data access and modeling
Shape API & Data Flows
- Design and maintain REST APIs that deliver real-time AI insights
- Build secure integrations with external AI and analytics services
- Implement real-time data delivery for live updates
Optimize for Scale & Reliability
- Deploy and monitor services in Google Cloud, running on Kubernetes
- Ensure reliability with logging, monitoring, and alerting practices
- Optimize performance across front-end and back-end, from queries to caching strategies
Maintain Quality & Best Practices
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability
- Uphold security best practices across authentication, authorization, and data handling
- Participate in code reviews and mentor teammates across the stack
Collaborate Across Teams
- Work closely with product, design, and AI researchers to prototype and launch new features
- Help refine technical direction and architecture decisions as the product scales

Qualifications

4+ years professional experience as a full stack engineer, ideally in a fast-moving environment
Strong skills in both modern front-end frameworks and back-end development
Experience with relational databases and sound data modeling
Hands-on cloud deployment experience
Track record of building and shipping reliable, performant applications end-to-end

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with real-time data systems and event-driven architectures
Exposure to AI/ML APIs or productionizing ML systems
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration practices
Knowledge of CI/CD and infrastructure as code principles

The pay range for this role is:
200,000 - 250,000 USD per year(San Francisco, California)
