Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our growing data team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines, data lakes, and warehouses. Your work will directly support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence teams by ensuring data is clean, accurate, and available.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, or similar.
Build and optimize data architectures (data lakes, data warehouses) using modern data stack tools (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
Implement and maintain data quality, validation, and monitoring processes.
Develop batch and real-time data processing systems.
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to support their data needs.
Manage data infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes and systems.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
2+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
Strong understanding of database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL, etc.).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Familiarity with data modeling and warehousing concepts.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, Dagster, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka.
Knowledge of containerization and CI/CD practices.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
