We are seeking Automation and Controls Engineers to join our team in the United States.

This is a Hybrid Role with a mix of remote working and site-based visits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain SCADA systems using Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform.
Implement modules such as Vision, Perspective, Tag Historian, SQL Bridge, Reporting, Alarm Notifications, and WebDev .
Develop and integrate MES functionalities like OEE, Recipe Management, Track & Trace, and Downtime Analysis.
Program and integrate Rockwell Automation PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix).
Ensure seamless communication between PLCs and SCADA systems using OPC UA, MQTT, TCP/IP, and other industrial protocols.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data integration and reporting.
Use Python scripting for automation logic, data manipulation, and interface customization.
Collaborate with clients to define requirements and create design specifications and test plans.
Conduct system integration, testing, and commissioning both offsite and onsite

Requirements

Degree Qualified desirable not essential
3 + years’ experience in a modern manufacturing environment with previous experience in some of the following: pneumatics; PLC’s; instrumentation; hydraulics; Vision systems, PC Hardware etc.
Very strong experience in PLC troubleshooting, particularly Allen Bradly PLC’s.
Candidate must be comfortable troubleshooting modern Allen Bradley systems, commissioning equipment, software troubleshooting, etc. (Includes RS View, FactoryTalk, ControlLogix).
Troubleshooting electrical control systems.
PC troubleshooting experience.
Troubleshooting of software systems.
