Position: Business Analyst

Duration: 12+ Months (with high possibility of extension in FY)

Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid - On Site and Telework)

Job Description:The following describes the work that will be done by Business Analyst Level 2:Support current DPS projects and priorities in the facilitation of gathering themes/epics/user stories/acceptance criteria and analysis of existing requirements documentation. Directly support project and development teams on various initiatives to improve agency effectiveness, compliance with applicable statutes, and enhance service delivery capabilities. Facilitate project development and quality assurance discussions on gathering story points to use for a predictive level of effort model.

Deliverables:

Creating themes/epics/user stories/acceptance criteria according to Agency standards.
Convert existing use cases to actionable user stories/epics/acceptance criteria in Jira.
Analyze existing process documentation and document potential opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Support development and implementation of various initiatives.

Required: 3-5 years of experience in the field or related field as a senior level Business Analyst (technical/emerging technology)
Required: 3-5 years of experience with a basic working knowledge of Agile project management methodology/practices
Preferred: 1-2 years of experience understanding and documentation of use cases
Preferred: 1-2 years of experience process documentation mapping

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
