Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team supporting T-Mobile in Snoqualmie, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines, ensuring robust data modeling, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable and high-performance data solutions. This is a fully onsite role requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Python and SQL for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
Work with time-series databases (e.g., InfluxDB, Splunk) and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Perform database schema design and data modeling; review and optimize existing schemas to improve performance and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable data-driven solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipeline performance for continuous reliability and efficiency.
Provide technical leadership in data engineering best practices, mentoring team members as needed.
Leverage big data technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark) where applicable to support advanced data workflows.
Create and maintain data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI for insights and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Proven experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on expertise in Python and SQL.
Strong understanding of time-series databases (InfluxDB, Splunk) and relational DBs (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Expertise in data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.
Familiarity with big data frameworks (Kafka, Spark) is a plus.
Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex data challenges.
