The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team on a W2 basis. In this mid-level role, you will work with cloud-based data solutions, focusing on data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions within the Azure ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data initiatives and ensure data quality and accessibility for analytical purposes.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Azure data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
Implement data ingestion and transformation processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
Optimize query performance and data retrieval processes to support BI tools and analytics.
Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring data integrity and availability.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
2-4 years of experience as a Data Engineer, specifically with Azure technologies.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
Solid understanding of cloud concepts and experience with Azure technologies.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Nice-to-Haves:

Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics.
Understanding of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
Experience with Apache Spark and data processing frameworks.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or related fields.
