Relay is a boutique consultancy that designs no-code database tools for small-mid size businesses and nonprofits. We build applications that make our clients run faster, from clean energy nonprofits to law firms to industrial fabricators. We're seeking a Junior Airtable Developer to help us deliver client projects and build intuitive no-code business tools.

Airtable is one of the most popular no-code database development platforms in the world. For this role, you don't need a coding background, but you do need some experience with no-code app development. During your first two weeks on the job, you'll learn the ins and outs of Airtable via coursework and internal learning, and you'll develop your skills through work on our internal Airtable database. You'll then shadow a client project and do smaller tasks until the point where you're ready to build and design your own applications from scratch.

Once you're ready, you'll have the following responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Airtable databases to streamline project management and data organization.
Collaborate with team members to design user-friendly web interfaces that convey critical information to clients.
Work directly with clients to outline project progress, triage issues, and provide training and documentation.
Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing existing Airtable applications.
Migrate data from existing databases (both on and off Airtable) to our clients' new Airtable base(s).
Automate communication between 3rd-party systems like Hubspot and Salesforce and Airtable using native and Make/Zapier automations.

As a startup, most of the time your cup will be filled (never over 40 hours/wk), but sometimes it won't be. We might need help with other administrative tasks that crop up (such as designing internal tools). You'll be expected to be flexible. We'd be thrilled if you're excited to help us grow the business.

Our only technical requirement is that you have some experience in no-code app development, though prior Airtable experience will be a big plus. Here are some other things that would make you stand out:

Experience creating custom automations in Make, Zapier, or N8N.
Experience—business or schooling—in database design and structure
Business operations experience
Consulting experience
Web design background—we build client-facing interfaces on top of their databases, so it's helpful to have someone with an eye for UI/UX design

Salary for this role is $80,000/yr, with opportunities for profit sharing as we grow. We offer competitive healthcare benefits and 401k enrollment. You'd be coming on as our fourth employee, giving you plenty of room to grow into the role that best suits you.
