About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer, Internal Tools to own and improve the software systems that power our day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that our internal tools — including both third-party applications and custom-built solutions — are reliable, efficient, and continuously improving. You will spend time both developing new tools from scratch and maintaining the reliability of existing systems, with a strong focus on automation, integrations, and data consistency. This is a highly impactful, internal-facing role where you will collaborate closely with operations, business, and engineering teams to streamline workflows and enable the entire company to work more effectively.

Key Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and maintain internal tools and automation scripts that improve team productivity and operational efficiency.

● Own the reliability of internal systems and integrations, ensuring uptime and quick issue resolution.

● Build new internal applications, workflows, and dashboards using Python, SQL, XML, and HTML.

● Partner with business and operations stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.

k● Manage and optimize data flows between internal databases and business tools.

● Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across internal software and integrations.

● Establish best practices for version control, documentation, and testing of internal tools.

Qualifications

● Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and application development.

● Solid experience with SQL (queries, data modeling, database interactions).

● Working knowledge of XML and HTML for data interchange and web-based tooling.

● Experience building and maintaining internal or business-facing software systems.

● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of issues end-to-end.

● Comfort working directly with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

● Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

Bonus Skills:

● Experience with workflow automation platforms (Asana, Google Sheets).

● Familiarity with REST APIs, integrations, or middleware.

● Exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Compensation & Growth

● Salary range: ~$100K–$130K depending on experience

● Opportunity to shape and grow the internal tools function from the ground up.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
