Seeking a BUSINESS ANALYST

Description: Under the direction of the Secretary of Commerce, the business analyst will assist with implementing strategic initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity. Business Analyst will assist with analyzing financial reports, operating procedures, and strategizing ideas to improve business operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze data for potential business expansion.
Identify specific business opportunities and ways to capitalize on them.
Assist with project management for selected projects.
Coordinate with different departments to improve productivity.
Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to help others understand business performance.
Organize and facilitate program meetings
Develop and maintain reporting tools
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or 5 years related experience in business analysis, business administration, finance, or related field.

Experience with budgeting, financial management, and accounting principles
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality; ability to maintain discretion in handling sensitive information.
Excellent time management skills; ability to work independently, ability to prioritize tasks.

Must have valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.

Preferred Requirements:

Master's Degree or 7 years of related experience in budgeting, analysis, finance or a similar field

Familiar with Muscogee Nation accounting procedures and processes
Familiar with federal spending guidelines and regulations
Familiar with municipal operations, budgeting and administration of federal funds.
