Purpose: Under the direction of management and more senior members of the team, the Software Engineer – Senior will contribute to the overall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by independently completing projects and tasks by meeting established quality measures. The Software Engineer – Senior – will be able to expand their role into defining and leading new software projects which will deliver significant impact. The focus of this position will be to reach a mastery level of the technology stack and mentor less experienced team members.

Responsibilities:

- This position is hands-on for Technology Insights and Enablement and other Shared Services Teams.
- Responsible for SDLC project deliverables as well as a consulting role to lead, guide, advise, and assess others on industry best practices
- Responsible for engineering automated processes using scripting languages and creating related documentation
- Documentation – Create detail-oriented documentation that outlines new and moderately complex processes. Responsible for quality and validity of documentation.
- Implement updates to existing solutions with C#, Function Apps, or other Azure-native tools.
- Develop and independently deploy solutions.
- Software Solutions – Develop, validate and implement software solutions based on customer requirements, Enterprise architecture standards and defined project designs
- Design – Implement the overall system design. Exhibit awareness of user experience standards.
- Follow ticket requirements to deliver business functionality.
- Participate in Agile development processes and collaborate with team members to meet sprint goals.
- Security – Validate and review secure processes and protocols. Ensure that processes/protocols are followed by junior level staff.
- Troubleshooting – Solve multiple issues concurrently. Coordinate, delegate, and mentor less experienced staff with issue resolution.
- Quality – Demonstrate the ability to conduct code review of others.
- Integration – Responsible for more complex integration between modules.
- Project Management – Has ownership in success of projects. Responsible for estimating and delivering on individual task within project. Shows the ability to be responsible for project timelines.
- Communication – Responsible for demonstrating appropriate, clear, concise, and effective written and oral communications in all interactions to build relationships and accomplish day to day work and projects.

Qualifications:

Typically has 5+ years of related work experience.
Experience with complex development environments, taking abstract concepts and ideas and formulating a detailed software deliverable
Experience in developing on cross-functional systems.
Deep knowledge of developing complete systems.
Mastery of the SDLC.
Highly driven and self-motivated to exceed expectations.
Ability to work independently and demonstrated ability to lead in a team-based environment.
Proficient in both oral and written communication.

Must Have:

1. 6+ years in C#, ASP.Net, and Power Shell

2. 5+ years in Azure Portal products such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Data Factory

3. 3+ years’ experience with GIT processes (i.e., check-in/check-out, branching, deployment, CI/CD pipelines)

4. 2+ years of experience with API scripting

5. Ability to optimize and refactor code across the above technologies

6. Experience with database development and functions (e.g., SQL, stored procedures)

7. Proficiency in DevOps SDLC lifecycle, including code management, particularly within Azure DevOps

8. Solid understanding of Agile methodology

9. Self-management, problem solving, and communication skills (oral and written)

10. Strong Interpersonal skills, team player with positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and diplomatic personality

11. Ability to initiate new ideas, identify trends, and implement process improvement(s)

Preferred:

Experience with Naked Agility or other Azure Devops Migration tools, scripting practices, etc.

Experience in the field of Process Automation tools and methodologies, including Test Automation

AZ-400- Microsoft Devops Solution Designer

Working knowledge of Python

CI/CD Pipeline Management

IT experience in Health Care insurance

Experience in Microsoft Power Platform

Experience in contributing to Technical Requirement creation and maintenance.
