The Opportunity

Manage a team of Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Scientists in duties related to reporting, including dashboards, benchmarking, data extraction/logic, and data science models.
Manage the collection, approval, development, and communication/training cycle related to enhancement requests for data products.
Lead, direct, and review the work of team members to accomplish program initiatives, operational plans, and results within schedule and budget.
Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action with the assistance of People Operations, when necessary.
Build and maintain a positive working environment to train and develop the team to foster understanding of broad principles, policies, and procedures with a high level of customer service focus.
Mentor and coach team members to further develop competencies.
Provide primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions for direct reports including the hiring or firing of employees, in accordance with organization guideline.
With the Director of Business Intelligence, prioritize development efforts and communicate priorities and timelines to development teams and stakeholders.
Balance the needs of customers, business teams, and stakeholders with the capabilities and limitations of technical resources throughout the development process, ensuring that what is delivered meets the original goals and objectives of the request or product. Operate in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity and provide solid recommendations.
Facilitate meaningful discussion to help develop sound business requirements and user stories, helping to interpret user needs and experience to design a workflow and/or product that efficiently meets the needs of the customer.
Collaborate with technical teams and groom backlog to ensure that work efforts are aligned with product and business goals and objectives; assist in resolving roadblocks and managing escalations as required.
Manage internal documentation (using Confluence) as well as issue/bug/enhancement ticket tracking (in Jira and ServiceNow); create and manage training and supporting content for users and customers (via SharePoint and other platforms).
Evangelize products by working with key stakeholders to demonstrate value of tools; support user community and identify advocates to partner with.
Become a subject matter expert in upstream data sources and flow to help identify gaps for various programs and practice lines; participate in planning activities around system upgrades and migrations that would impact data sources or platforms that Practice Management (PM) and Physician Partner (PP) Operations users use directly or indirectly; work with appropriate teams to help troubleshoot mitigate system failures and lapses in service, and provide updates to users.
Responsible for building and maintaining the relationship with the business stakeholders of the assigned platforms and stakeholders of the assigned MVPs.
Responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with other ITS teams.
Effectively influence and collaborate with others, presenting and securing approval from senior management and other key stakeholders, as necessary.
Collaborate with Physician Leadership, Operations Division Leadership, and Practice Line and Program Leads to codesign achievable data products.
Assess areas of opportunity where available data sources and/or systems can be leveraged in a report, dashboard, or tool that can add business value or operational insights.
Use Tableau and other platforms to develop prototypes and engage with prospective users for feedback; assess value with stakeholders; if/when appropriate, determine next steps and produce documentation for production development.
Research and stay informed of industry best practices for analytics, business intelligence, and data science.

Required Experience and Competencies

Master's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field required.
6+ years of data science experience with Python, machine learning, and/or data warehouses required.
2+ years development experience with business intelligence software, Tableau required.
Proficient in SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau required.
Strong experience with the ETL process and database management systems required.
Development experience using AI or ChatGPT applications preferred.
Experience in healthcare with physicians preferred.
Experience working in an Agile environment preferred.
Knowledge of Cloud Technologies preferred.
Experience with healthcare nomenclature and hospital quality measures preferred.
Experience presenting technical solutions to business and technical audience preferred.
Proficient with agile development methodologies preferred.
Experience in strategic program and project management, system implementation, and deployment preferred.
Ability to work with cross-functional leaders and/or senior management to develop and implement change management strategies associated with people, process, and technology solutions.
Ability to manage and lead; motivate teams, resolve conflicts with or without formal authority, and elevate issues as needed.
Ability to perform daily functions with little supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work with a complex eco-system of workflows, data flows, technologies, tools, teams, and individuals.
Cross-functional communication and strong people management skills are essential; Good technical understanding, with the ability to translate from business speak to tech; ability to communicate with a diverse audience of technical, non-technical, and clinical constituencies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
Ability to manage time and workload effectively, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing with keen attention to details.
Excellent analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to research and make decisions based on the day-to-day and complex problems required.
Excellent interpersonal skills required. Understand that the clients' best interests are served through smooth, seamless service delivery.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in order to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
Detail oriented, organized, and flexible individual able to perform multiple tasks with varying priorities under conditions requiring speed and accuracy.
Excellent ability to quickly come up to speed on new technology concepts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
Ability to strike a balance between showing initiative and seeking appropriate guidance and input from others.
Ability to understand a business process and translate into a data model.
Ability to analyze ambiguous technical and customer situations and determine appropriate solutions.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $142,020 - $184,625, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company's annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
