About the Position

We’re looking for a Media Intelligence/Data Analystwho can cut through the noise, spot what matters, and deliver insights that move the needle. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Media Intelligence. This role combines sharp editorial judgment with analytical rigor, completing AI-assisted media analysis and in-depth media insights that inform client strategy.

The right candidate brings curiosity, initiative, and the ability to deliver excellence under deadline pressure. You’ll be trusted to work independently, take feedback and apply it, and help innovate how we serve clients in a rapidly changing industry.

Core Responsibilities

● Monitor and analyze news, industry developments, and narratives across digital and broadcast media.

● Contribute to analytics reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, project-specific) assessing coverage volume, sentiment, share of voice, and message traction.

● Research trends, competitive and media landscapes, stakeholder/third-party voices, and how they connect for reports that steer client activations.

● Translate findings into actionable insights, identifying reputational risks and opportunities.

● Ensure accuracy of metrics, troubleshoot anomalies, and deliver data that informs strategy.

● Interpret and contextualize data, connecting trends to reputational risks and opportunities for the client.

● Contribute to a client-first culture of exceptional service, including regular correspondence with clients via email, phone, or meetings.

● Work collaboratively with internal teams and leadership to ensure excellence in deliverables.

Required Qualifications

● 3 – 5+ years of professional experience in media monitoring, journalism, PR, communications, or research/analysis.

● Exceptional writing and editorial skills; ability to distill complex coverage into crisp, impactful insights.

● Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience producing media measurement reports.

● Comfort using media monitoring platforms and data visualization tools (Critical Mention, Meltwater, Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint).

● Experience with pivot tables, formulas (V/XLOOKUP, UNIQUE, ARRAYFORMULA, FILTER, COUNTIFS), calculating metrics, conditional formatting, data validation, creating summary tables

● Ability to move fluidly between editorial and quantitative work — distilling coverage and validating the numbers behind it.

● Team-oriented, collaborative spirit; thrives in a lean, high-performing team while also comfortable working independently.

● Proven ability to perform under tight deadlines while maintaining relentless accuracy and quality.
