POSITION OVERVIEW
SteerBridge Strategies is seeking an experienced NLP Data Scientist to support high-impact projects focused on extracting actionable insights from unstructured data sources. In this role, you will develop and fine-tune natural language processing models to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and automation of complex decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, data science, and NLP techniques, with the ability to work with large, domain-specific datasets to derive meaningful outcomes.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

U.S. Citizenship & ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.
Location: Must be local to the Washington, D.C. area and able to work 5-days a week from our company headquarters located at 8521 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182 (Non-Local candidates MUST be willing to relocate. Relocation assistance can be provided.)
5-8 years, Python, Amazon Comprehend Medical, Google Cloud NLP, and transformers.
Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
Familiar with SQL, Jupyter notebooks, and collaborative coding environments.
Ability to communicate complex data science concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

COMPENSATION
Starting from $137,000 annually.
A salary commensurate with background and experience will be offered.
