OPPO US Research Center is seeking a talented and experienced AI engineer to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing AI algorithms on cloud.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and evaluate LLM-powered agents, tools, and orchestration approaches to enable complex multi-step reasoning and automation
- Design, develop, and optimize inference stage techniques such as RAG, CoT, and Prompt Engineering to guide LLM behavior and ensure consistent, reliable outputs
- Develop frameworks and tools to benchmark and evaluate advanced LLM capabilities across different scenarios and datasets
- Build and maintain data pipelines grounded in real-world business scenarios
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into production workflows.
Requirements
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++
- Proven hands-on experience in computer vision / machine learning projects (e.g., LLMs, VLMs, diffusion models, cloud/mobile deployment)
- Solid understanding of multimodal AI and Large Multimodal Models (vision-language)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of industry experience deploying LLMs in cloud environments
- Strong publication record in top-tier conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV) and/or granted patents in CV/ML
- Expertise in mobile ML stacks (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, Qualcomm SNPE, MediaTek APU)

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000-$200,000 + bonus + long term incentives benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
