Job Summary
Receives general direction and is competent to work at the highest level of analysis and design on data and analytics projects. The position requires demonstrated skills leveraging traditional data technologies. The applicant is expected to have a good understanding of PostgreSQL, SQL, PL/SQL and Relational Database programming concepts.
In this role you will work to deliver data solutions leveraging PostgreSQL. You will utilize your skills and expertise in data management best practices for business need analysis, business requirements analysis, assisting users with data source identification and analysis, writing PostgreSQL and testing of Queries, Batches and Reports. Create and maintain documentation as required for projects, especially recording and tracking project requirements and tasks.
Technical Skills Required
- Demonstrated knowledge of PostgreSQL; 1 year preferred
- Demonstrated SQL programming and development; 3 years preferred
- Proficient in PL/SQL
- Solid understanding of database and SQL
- Intermediate Python experience
- Experience with Universal Database Tools. Experience with DBeaver a plus
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word
- Experience with document composition and management tools a plus
- 1-3 years of overall software related technical analysis experience
- 1-3 years of hands-on solid experience with data analysis, mapping and transformation
- Regulated industry (financial services or healthcare experience preferred)
- Scripting experience is a plus, but not required.
- Power BI experience a plus
Qualifications and Skill
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Innovative, collaborative, and team-oriented, yet practical in devising custom solutions or new features applicable to client demand
- Professional work experience using SQL to work large data sets including high proficiency writing queries for more complex data extraction and transformation tasks.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects independently to meet deadlines and complete tasks in an accurate manner

In addition to the total annual compensation which will be in the range of $93,000 to $96,000, based on 2,080 hours per year this position includes an excellent benefit package with 2 employer paid retirement plans:

Carpenters Vacation, Holiday and Sick Leave Trust Fund for Northern California – included as part of your gross compensation stated above, this plan pays out an annual benefit in January of all contributions received on your behalf, during the prior Plan Year (August 1st to July 31st) – current rate, subject to change is $3.43 per each hour worked based on 2,080 hours per year for an estimated annual benefit amount of $7,134.40

Our office is located at 265 Hegenberger Road, Suite 100, Oakland, CA 94621-1480. We have plenty of free parking, are located close to public transportation and we also have electric vehicle charging available on site.
