Position Overview: The Business Intelligence Analyst will be a key contributor to our data-driven culture, responsible for designing, developing, and managing impactful dashboards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience extracting, transforming, and visualizing data from critical business systems, particularly Salesforce and ServiceNow. You will partner closely with various departments to understand their reporting needs and translate them into robust BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dashboard & KPI Creation and Management:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and native Salesforce tools that provide clear, concise, and actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Define, track, and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to various business functions, ensuring they align with strategic objectives.
- Proactively identify opportunities for new dashboards and reports based on business needs and data availability.
- Data Extraction & Analysis:
- Extract, clean, transform, and load data from various source systems, with a strong focus on Salesforce (CRM data, sales performance, customer interactions) and ServiceNow (ITSM data, service requests, incident management, operational metrics).
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and root causes.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data for reporting and analytical purposes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Gathering:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, IT, Operations, Finance) to understand their business processes, challenges, and data requirements.
- Translate complex business questions into technical specifications for data models, reports, and dashboards.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and validate solutions.
- Data Quality & Governance:
- Contribute to ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting solutions.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining data governance best practices within the BI environment.
- Documentation & Training:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, reports, dashboards, and BI processes.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively utilize BI tools and interpret data insights.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or a similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Expertise in at least one major BI visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik Sense), with a portfolio demonstrating dashboard and report creation.
- Demonstrated experience with Salesforce data models and reporting, including Salesforce reports, dashboards, and potentially CRM Analytics (Einstein Analytics).
- Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow reporting and data structures, including Performance Analytics, custom reports, and understanding of ITSM modules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with NetSuite or SAP reporting and data.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator/Consultant, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator/Application Developer, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
