Responsible for the identification, installation, validation, maintenance and continuous improvement of test system hardware, software, applications and fixturing for testing of sensing products. Perform root cause analysis of test failures and drive process yield improvements. Develop and maintain process control database. Support IT functions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering. Minimum 0-3 of experience in electronic systems. Experience troubleshooting mechanical test fixtures and tooling. Experience using DOS, Windows operating systems on IBM-PC compatible platforms. Experience using/ applying general-purpose office productivity tools (MS Word, MS Excel, JMP, MS Access or equivalent).
Electronic and electric circuits knowledge. Instrumentation and automatized control knowledge. Computer operation knowledge. Knowledge of design, architecture and development of software. Knowledge of theory in digital data acquisition. Working knowledge of IEEE-488 interfacing techniques. Working knowledge of software maintenance under a minimum of 2 of the following languages: ANSI C, Turbo Pascal, LabView, LabWindows/CVI, Microsoft VisualBasic. Strong PC skills: Microsoft Office tools. Skills using instruments for testing (multimeter, sensors, pressure regulator, etc.). Ability to organize and analyze large data amounts. Must have strong analytical ability. Have excellent written and verbal communication ability to complete reports for management; to share relevant information with coworkers; to communicate with suppliers and contractors; and to solve problems with clients, as necessary. Team player, self-motivated with the ability to work to challenging deadline. Fully bilingual (English-Spanish).
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the introduction of new products through being able to search and identify required equipment, develop process standards and requirements, validate equipment and support manufacturing activities.
· Work with other departments to drive continuous improvements, understand efficiency and quality issues, which drive service and internal/external PPM’s, and scrap.
· Serve as changing agent applying engineering expertise and Lean tools/methodologies while driving cost reductions and leading cost out projects.
· Support plant Lean Strategy.
· Provide engineering support for existing and new production test equipment / fixturing.
· Maintain project technical correspondence, special test programs and all related documentation.
· Gather and analyze relevant tested data in order to identify root cause of manufacturing issues.
· Support Quality personnel in developing product/process documentation as control plan, working instructions, and FMEAs, etc.
· Prepare reports, such as: validations, protocols, qualification reports and Failure Analysis, among others.
· Offer reports to management about projects status, test yields, Failure Analysis, etc.
· Repair manufacturing equipment to ensure the lines are well-functioning.
· Make requisition orders for shipping and receiving materials and equipment on time.
· Develop require test equipment in order to conduct Failure Analysis.
· Support Quality Department in all 8Ds, customer returns and root cause analysis.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing/production processes that promote a safe and healthy work environment.
· Comply with EHS requirements as well as company policies and procedures.
