THE POSITION

We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to build high-quality data models and trusted data products that support strategic analytics across our Sportsbook, Casino and Flywheel Products. You will work closely with analysts embedded in business functions and with data engineers upstream to design clean, maintainable, and well-documented data transformations that drive self-service and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the intersection of data and business—comfortable writing production-grade SQL, collaborating cross-functionally, and helping define metrics and models that scale.

Analytics Engineering & Modeling
- Build and maintain data models and marts using dbt or similar tools to power analytics and reporting
- Translate business requirements and analyst workflows into reusable, tested, and reliable datasets
- Ensure data models reflect consistent logic and definitions across teams and domains
Collaboration & Impact
- Work with analysts and stakeholders to validate data requirements and identify opportunities to centralize common logic
- Partner with data engineers to improve data ingestion and schema design at the source
- Support documentation, testing, and governance efforts to ensure trust and transparency in our data
Enablement & Improvement
- Create templates and libraries of reusable transformations that accelerate analytics delivery
- Identify and refactor fragmented, redundant logic into centralized, standardized datasets
- Contribute to team rituals such as code reviews, knowledge sharing, and onboarding new team members
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or data engineering roles
- Expertise in SQL and experience with dbt or other data modeling tools
- Strong understanding of business metrics, dimensional modeling, and transformation workflows
- Experience working cross-functionally with both analysts and data engineers
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Databricks Delta Lake, Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Familiarity with data testing, version control, and CI/CD for analytics workflows.
- Experience with Python and related orchestration frameworks (e.g. Airflow)
- Exposure to BI tools like Looker or Tableau.

The applicable salary range for this position is $138,000 - $181,650 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
