Role: Java/Python Developer
Rate: $70/hour W2
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Hybrid (1-2 days a week onsite)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement web-based Java applications using Spring Boot to support business requirements.
Create technical design documents aligned with architectural standards.
Develop and maintain multiple applications, primarily Java-based, with some Python/Ansible scripting.
Build and support RESTful services and backend systems using MongoDB and AWS.
Perform unit and system testing, debug issues, and ensure high performance and reliability.
Contribute to large-scale distributed systems using Spring Batch and Hadoop.
Collaborate in Agile teams, participate in code reviews, and support implementation activities.

Required Skills

Java/J2EE and Spring Boot (core technologies)
Python (used in automation and scripting)
MongoDB (primary database)
Concourse CI (for pipelines and automation)
Experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, etc.)
Familiarity with Ansible is a plus
Strong understanding of RESTful services, Unix scripting, and Git-based workflows

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of professional software development experience
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
