POSITION PURPOSE
The Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for ensuring we have the right data to aid in our decision making. This individual works with leadership using the Web Focus and Business Intelligence tools to design and build critical reporting tools as required by multiple departments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Modeling data to provide clean, accurate datasets.

Connecting to multiple data sources.

Transforming, testing, and documenting data.

Crafting reliable cause and effect analyses.

Designing data models.
-
Gathering information.
-
Writing complex SQL type statements.

Creating standards for data integrity and consistency.
-
Maintaining data documentation. Create a library for data decisions made.

Communicating results.
-
Collaborating with data team members.
-
Data mapping and visualization.
-
Advise on system upgrades and oversee software audits.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
-
3-5 years in a supply chain analyst, demand planning or materials planning role
-
Minimum 3 years of ERP/MRP software experience
-
Minimum 3 years of BI software experience.

APICS Certification desired, Category management in Wholesale, Retail, Manufacturing, or Consumer Packaged Goods (Preferred)

Must be able to work independently and effectively, as well as coordinate multiple tasks with changing priorities/interruptions

Demonstrated business acumen

Possess strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills

Strong written & verbal communication skills

Excellent communication skills throughout all levels of the organization. Detail oriented with very good organizational skills. Computerized planning systems, Spend Management System, MS office products with emphasis on Excel and using VBA

Experience creating macros and other automation experience

Ability to work in a fast-paced, teamwork environment with tight deadlines
