We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Chicago office. This role sits at the intersection of technology and trading research, where you’ll partner closely with researchers and traders to understand their workflows and create the systems that power large-scale computation, data analysis, and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable platforms for computation, data access, and research tooling.
- Build infrastructure capable of supporting large-scale processing and complex storage requirements.
- Work directly with researchers and traders to gather requirements, prototype solutions, and deliver robust tools.
- Contribute to a global technology environment by developing systems used across multiple regions.
- Continuously improve usability and performance by iterating quickly in response to user feedback.
- Provide reliable access to historical datasets and real-time market information.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in Java and Python.
- Degree from a highly reputable university (Computer Science preferred)
- Practical experience managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
- Strong grasp of distributed systems, large-scale data infrastructure, and high-performance storage.
