We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their development organization. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about data, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys solving complex problems that drive business decisions. You will play a key role in building and scaling data pipelines, reporting systems, and analytics solutions that impact strategic initiatives across the company.
Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Tri-State - New York, New Jersey, Connecticut - Fully Remote

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain applications using Looker and Snowflake business intelligence platforms.
- Develop and optimize large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Work with multiple data file formats (CSV, JSON, XML, etc.) for ingestion and processing.
- Build and maintain models using LookML and write procedures in SnowSQL.
- Develop and maintain pipelines with DBT.
- Implement ETL processes and integrations.
- Use version control and build processes (GIT) for code management.
- Perform data quality checks and validation at multiple stages of processing.
- Deliver reporting and analytics solutions to address complex business challenges.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Participate in Agile development cycles and collaborate with QA to ensure proper testing.
Technology And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years in a data engineering or SQL-heavy data analysis role.
- 5+ years Python Software Engineering.
- Proven track record of building data pipelines and solutions with diverse data sets.
- Strong expertise in SQL and data warehousing architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Looker, Snowflake, and DBT (or comparable tools).
- Experience with ETL technologies and integrations.
- Strong understanding of modern SDLC, Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and a problem-solving mindset.
Compensation: The target base salary for this job is $160,000-$180,000
