About the Role
We’re seeking highly motivated Software Engineers with strong programming skills and a passion for chess. You’ll help design and build the next generation of chess tools and experiences, with high ownership and immediate impact from day one.
This is a fast-paced, rewarding role for someone who thrives across the tech stack and brings a strong product-oriented mindset. On any given day, you might:
- Collaborate with product and design teams to align on feature expectations
- Implement backend APIs to expand our core platform
- Build frontend interfaces in Vue.js that reach thousands of players instantly
- Work closely with other engineers to ship polished, user-facing features
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency with Vue.js and experience in .NET (C#)
- Strong programming fundamentals and ability to iterate quickly
- Proactive communication and problem-solving skills
- Based in NYC or open to relocation
Nice to have
- Ability to build mobile apps (Flutter or React Native)
- Familiarity with the competitive chess tech landscape
- Exposure to chess development libraries, tools, or platforms
