Project Description
The Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity manages and enhances the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) which resides on one Oracle M8 Supercluster database and thirteen application servers. Our team provides the technical services required to sustain EDW applications to include Project Management, Data Warehouse Management, Advanced Analytics, Tableau Server Administration/Tableau Desktop Administration, Technical Collaboration Support, Lessons Learned, Executive Orders and Special Projects, Architectural Enhancement, and Cloud Migration. We also provide management, enhancement, integration, implementation, maintenance, modernization, and infrastructure support for EDW applications and enhancement and maintenance of business intelligence capabilities and predictive analytics.
NOTE: Job is on-site 5 days a week in Washington DC , no hybrid available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide business process subject matter expertise and perform analysis of potential impacts to systems and applications.
- Analyze business rules and formulate business rules
- Maintain and manage application(s) backlog of bugs, issues and enhancements for ongoing government review and development prioritization.
- Facilitate, support, and manage sprint cycle development priorities.
- Facilitate working sessions with the key stakeholders to understand business needs and identify improvements.
- Facilitate the elicitation, analysis, prioritization, validation, refinement and documentation of detailed requirements.
- Capture and manage requirements for release, sprint and backlog.
- Coordinate requirements reviews and resolve requirements conflicts.
- Create and maintain business process documentation and workflows.
- Capture high-level functional requirements and traceable decomposition into epics, capabilities, features and stories.
- Ensure that all application development adheres to requirements and achieves objectives, adheres to policies and procedures.
- Support and provide user training
- Support reporting integrations and report updates due to changes to system changes
- Support ad hoc and custom reports creation based on user requests, policies, and procedures
- Perform Applications Operation Analysis per application (includes usage and recommendations) and develop report
- Develop and maintain standard system documentation

Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's degree with min 10 years experience required for senior role.
- Expertise in business process and complex system requirements gathering, analysis, design, coordination, and testing, database, systems and SQL a plus.
- Experience working with IT teams and collaborating with technical teams of diverse IT related skill
- Exemplary communication and analytical skills
- Experience creating briefs, spreadsheets, and concise, clear documentation
