Role: Senior Data Engineer
Experience Level: 6+ Years
Work Location: Boston, MA (on-site)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complete end-to-end enterprise-wide big data solutions
- Create integration and application technical design documentation
- Conduct peer-reviews of functional and technical design documentation
- Develop, configure, and execute test cases along with unit testing
- Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards are applied across solution components
- Resolve complex defects during testing phases and identify root causes
- Support and execute performance testing activities
- Provide production support by troubleshooting issues and tuning environments
- Follow and enforce technical best practices throughout all project phases
Required Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in big data solution design and development
- Big Data & Cloud: Hands-on experience with Spark, Scala, AWS Glue, Lambda, SNS/SQS, and CloudWatch
- Programming: Strong application development experience in Scala and Python
- Database: Strong SQL expertise, preferably with Redshift; Snowflake experience is an added advantage
- ETL/ELT: Proven experience with ETL/ELT processes and frameworks
- Version Control & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git repositories and CI/CD deployment processes
