Job Summary
The Health Data & Accounts Payable Analyst plays a dual role within the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC): analyzing and interpreting clinical, operational, and financial data to support informed decision-making, while also managing the accounts payable function to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments. This position supports the ASC’s commitment to operational efficiency, financial integrity, and high-quality patient care.

Duties

Collect, validate, and maintain clinical, operational, and financial data from EHR, practice management systems, billing platforms, and other internal sources.
Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reports to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including case volumes, cancellations, physician utilization, payer mix, reimbursement trends, and quality metrics.
Analyze payer reimbursement and denial trends to support revenue cycle improvement initiatives.
Prepare data for accreditation surveys, quality initiatives, benchmarking studies, and regulatory submissions.
Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for leadership, physicians, and department managers to guide strategy and decision-making.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy through quality assurance and validation processes.
Process vendor invoices, match with purchase orders, and verify accuracy against delivery receipts and contracts.
Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with ASC policies, contracts, and payment terms.
Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and expense reimbursements in a timely manner.
Reconcile monthly statements and resolve vendor discrepancies.
Collaborate with materials management and clinical teams to ensure accurate coding and payment of supply/equipment invoices.
Assist with month-end closing, financial audits, and budget preparation as it relates to accounts payable.
Monitor accounts payable aging reports and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Data Analytics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
2+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis, financial analytics, or accounts payable (ASC, hospital, or outpatient setting preferred).
Proficiency in Excel and financial management systems; QuickBooks Online preferred
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and ASC-specific accounting/ERP platforms.
Strong understanding of healthcare operations, financial reporting, and revenue cycle management.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to balance analytical and transactional responsibilities.
Detail-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
