Business Intelligence Analyst
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible to identify, develop and execute statistical analyses to uncover areas of opportunity that will guide the team’s strategic roadmap. They will gather customer insights, mine data, translate insights and requirements to valuable and user-friendly output, and make recommendations about findings. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen and judgement, intense curiosity, strong technical skills, and solid communication. They will have a strong bias toward data driven decision making. They will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and be creative (while paying careful attention to detail) and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with executive stakeholders and product owners to understand, capture, document, and analyze requirements for complex data solutions.

Analyze large amounts of data to provide users with accurate, insightful, and actionable information.

Work closely with Data Governance, Data Platform, and other Data and Analytics Teams regularly.

Assist in data validation as needed.

Work with team-based deliveries in an agile environment.

Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.

Complete assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.

Maintain compliance with AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Competency, Skills and Abilities:
-
Highly analytical and data-driven: You solve problems in ways that can be backed up with verifiable data. You focus on driving processes, tools, and statistical methods which support rational decision-making.

Strong decision making, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with data scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python, etc.) and statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, or Matlab).

Breadth of experience in machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
-
Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them (verbal/written) to the stakeholders and senior management.

Understanding of data warehousing, mining, and modeling.
-
Strong understanding of Agile and experience using Jira is a must.

Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data using SQL.

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, etc.)

Experience working as a Data Scientist.

Experience using Big Data technologies (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)

Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods.

Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.

Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate.

Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to a computer screen.

Ability to utilize a personal computer and other office equipment.

Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed.
