Overview
- The Lead Data Scientist – AI/ML Solution Architect will design and implement end-to-end data science solutions across financial services domains. This role involves defining solution blueprints, selecting technologies, ensuring production readiness, and driving innovation with advanced ML methods including generative AI and graph learning. The role also requires mentoring cross-functional teams and engaging with stakeholders to identify and execute high-value AI/ML use cases that provide competitive advantage in the BFSI sector.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable ML/AI solutions.
- Lead data science teams through full project lifecycles, from ideation to production.
- Define standards, best practices, and governance for AI/ML solutioning and model management.
- Collaborate with data engineering, MLOps, product, and business teams.
- Oversee integration of data science models into production systems.
- Evaluate and recommend ML tools, frameworks, and cloud-native solutions.
- Guide feature engineering, data strategy, and feature store design.
- Promote innovation using generative AI, reinforcement learning, and graph-based learning approaches.
- Apply technical knowledge of Spark, PySpark, and Scala to optimize solutions.
- Contribute to thought leadership through open-source contributions or published research.
- Lead and scale Centers of Excellence (CoEs) or data science accelerators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years of experience in ML/AI, with at least 4 years in architectural leadership roles.
- Proficient in Python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and HuggingFace.
- Strong domain knowledge in financial services (BFSI).
- Hands-on expertise with NLP, large language models (LLMs such as GPT), and deep learning.
- Practical experience with MLOps pipelines, frameworks, and tools.
- Strong understanding of graph analytics tools such as Neo4j, TigerGraph, or NetworkX.
