Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in data analysis to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role requires proficiency in various analytical tools and methodologies, as well as a strong understanding of data management processes.
Duties
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize data effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams utilizing Agile methodologies to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by providing input on requirements and testing phases.
- Conduct ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into databases for analysis.
- Utilize programming languages such as R and Python for advanced data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Design and manage databases using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other database management systems.
- Apply business analysis techniques to gather requirements and document processes using tools like Visio.
- Implement linked data strategies to enhance data integration across platforms.
- Support project management efforts by tracking progress, managing timelines, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data analysis with a strong understanding of SQL for querying databases.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar visualization software.
- Familiarity with programming languages including R, Python, VBA, or Bash (Unix shell).
- Experience with ETL tools like Talend for data integration tasks.
- Solid understanding of database design principles and experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and present findings clearly.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices is preferred.
