Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The data analytics developer will support both internal and external clients including large industrial facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, and oil & gas facilities. The primary responsibilities are development of data assets in Microsoft Fabric and building reports / dashboards to facilitate client/management data analysis. Internal development initiatives are also planned to incorporate operational data into Microsoft Fabric and support our data-centric AI initiatives. This role may include direct client engagement and a portion of time will be billable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Perform Environmental customer support activities including:
- Ensure timely delivery of Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reports to Ops Managers and Site Supervisors
- Engineer production-quality data solutions to streamline and make repeatable applications focused on LDAR inspection activities
- Collaborate with PROtect management and client to understand and document reporting business requirements
- Perform ad hoc data analysis to support PROtect management and client using tools such as Python and Excel
- Perform activities in support of company-wide data initiatives:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Build data movement and transformations within Microsoft Fabric to populate data structures
- Build semantic data models including DAX calculations within Fabric/Power BI
- Design and build Power BI reports (as needed)
- Create requirement and process documentation
- Perform quality testing
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: BS engineering, business or computer science, mathematics, statistics
required knowledge
and experience: Operational or Industrial experience preferred
Skills/Abilities: Familiarity with statistical modeling
Familiarity with using AI automation within development process
Public Speaking skills for presentations to all levels of personnel
Leadership and communication skills
Skill to empathize with customers and employees (good listening skills)
Discipline and Organization
Ability to incorporate management input to team in an effective manner

Average VisION: Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: This job may require lifting of up to 50 pounds occasionally as well as ascending heights to 300 feet.
TRAVEL: Limited travel is expected
MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to effectively communicate with customers and relay information to the appropriate PROtect team members. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in varying situations.
MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read and interpret documents as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of PROtect.
