The Role
We’re looking for a Data Engineer with a background in Computer Science and a passion for building data-driven systems. In this role, you’ll design and optimize data pipelines that power our sales tax compliance products. You’ll work closely with developers, analysts, and product specialists to ensure data is clean, secure, and ready to drive insights.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into SQL Server environments.
- Design and optimize database structures (tables, indexes, views, stored procedures) for performance and scalability.
- Administer SQL Server databases, including performance monitoring, backups, security, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and refine advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and automation scripts using C#/.NET.
- Ensure data quality through validation, cleansing, and governance best practices.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, supporting both batch and real-time processing.
- Stay current on Microsoft technologies and apply best practices to continuously improve our data infrastructure.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BSCS) or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft technologies, including:
- C#/.NET for development and automation.
- SQL Server for database design, administration, and optimization.
- T-SQL (stored procedures, triggers, functions).
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Microsoft SSIS preferred).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, indexing, normalization, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, or similar).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Base Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
