General Summary:
This position is responsible for data analysis activities associated with current and potential future customers, products, and services. The position requires the ability to collect, manipulate, and extract insights from data available from many sources. The data analyst will work closely with other members of the department to develop reports and visualizations that communicate insights effectively. Seeks daily direction from the Data Scientist

Collaborates with other members of the department to identify opportunities for improvement.

Maintains accurate records of data sources and methodologies used.

Mines and analyzes data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

Effectively preserves and maintains confidential and sensitive information.

Minimum Qualifications:
-
One year related experience and/or training.

Preferred Bachelor's Degree or certification in Data Analysis, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Math, or related field.

Software: Strong working knowledge of MS PowerBI, MS Excel and/or other similar statistics and data modeling software.
- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to acquire and/or manipulate data for analysis using database access, API integration, or other methods by using programming or scripting skills.

Statistical and interpretation skills with understanding of statistical concepts, market studies, research methods, strategy, and competitive analysis.

Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to partner and work effectively with various departments and functions; must be a team player with the ability to take direction and work independently or as a group, as needed.

Ability to provide analysis/research into concise and actionable recommendations.

Background, familiarity in the IP industry products, services, and trends, with specific experience and skills in Broadband, VoIP, and Ethernet technologies.
- Robust computer skills specifically working with MS Excel and other analytical and project management tools.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including setting priorities and adapting to changes.

Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle confidential data and maintain strict confidential guidelines in accordance with company policy and to exercise a high degree of discretion/judgment.

Ability to read and interpret various formats of English language instruction

Ability to demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.

Able and willing to continue business skill development.

Sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity including close vision.
