About Blink
Blink is an AI app creation platform. Anyone can build websites, SaaS products, and mobile apps by chatting with AI. We handle the database, hosting, APIs, and deployment automatically. No coding required.
The Role
As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Blink, you'll build features end-to-end and provide technical support to customers. You'll work across our entire stack—from the AI agent that generates code to the frontend interface where users chat with it. This isn't just backend or just frontend. You'll own complete features from concept to deployment.
You'll also work directly with customers to help them succeed. This means debugging their projects, understanding their use cases, and feeding insights back into product development. The line between engineering and customer success is intentionally blurred here. Building and supporting are part of the same job.
You'll be joining a small engineering team that ships fast and thinks creatively about how AI changes software development.
In this role, you will:
- Build and ship full-stack features using Next.js, TypeScript, and modern web technologies
- Develop AI agent capabilities and improve the code generation pipeline that powers Blink
- Provide technical support to customers, helping them debug issues and build successfully on the platform
- Work with databases, APIs, authentication systems, and deployment infrastructure
- Use AI coding tools like Cursor and Windsurf in agent mode to accelerate your development workflow
- Collaborate directly with the founder on product decisions and technical architecture
- Contribute to both the product interface and the underlying systems that make AI-powered app creation possible
- Gather feedback from customer interactions and translate it into product improvements
You might thrive in this role if you:
- You have professional experience as a software engineer building full-stack applications
- You're fluent in TypeScript and JavaScript and comfortable working across the entire stack
- You have experience building applications with Next.js or similar React-based frameworks
- You use AI coding tools effectively and understand how to work in agent mode with tools like Cursor or Windsurf
- You have strong communication and writing skills and can explain technical concepts clearly
- You have good design taste and care about how products look and feel, not just how they function
- You have a can-do mindset and find creative solutions instead of focusing on why things are difficult
- You're comfortable with SQL and working with databases directly
- You enjoy talking to customers and see support as an opportunity to understand users better, not a distraction from coding
- You believe that AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built and you want to be part of that shift
Why Blink
You'll be working on infrastructure that's changing who can build software. Every feature you ship enables someone without technical skills to create something they couldn't before. This is one of the most exciting problems in technology right now. The barrier between ideas and execution is collapsing.
As an early engineer, you'll have significant ownership over our technical direction. You'll work directly with the founder on product decisions. Your input will shape not just what we build but how we build it. You'll have unlimited access to AI coding tools and see firsthand how they change the development process.
You'll join a small team backed by Y Combinator where everyone ships real features and makes meaningful contributions. We move fast, learn from users constantly, and give engineers the autonomy to solve problems their own way.
Interview Process
We'll start with a conversation about your background and technical experience. Then you'll complete a technical project that demonstrates your full-stack skills.
We move quickly and aim to make decisions within a week.
