About the Role:
Job Title: Software Development Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions that meet performance and scalability requirements.
- Contribute across all phases of the software development life cycle, including design, coding, testing, and operational support.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices across development teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new product features.
- Utilize AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools (such as AWS CDK or CloudFormation) to design and deploy solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional, non-internship software development experience.
- 4+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle, including version control, CI/CD, testing, and operations.
- Proficiency in programming with Java and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying solutions using AWS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) or other infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
- Experience programming in Python.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- AWS certification (Developer Associate, Solutions Architect Associate, or higher) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.
Location: Seattle WA
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $95,000 – $105,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
