My client is looking for a Business Data Analyst to come and join their team in NYC. They are a well-known business in the retail and jewelry space. This role is going to be 5 days a week in their NYC office.
In this role, you will work closely with their finance team and data analytics team, driving growth across key departments and developing data-driven strategies for large revenue outcomes.
Essential Job Functions
- Drive cross-functional performance analytics, developing scorecards and evaluation frameworks to guide investment decisions and track operational outcomes.
- Build and refine financial models that support strategic initiatives, providing decision-makers with insights that improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Own the development of reporting tools — leveraging modern BI platforms and data pipelines — to deliver timely insights and mentor analysts in best-practice forecasting and analysis.
- Analyze commercial and operational datasets, including demand trends and customer engagement metrics, to help teams identify growth opportunities and optimize revenue streams.
- Partner with marketing and customer operations to improve return on promotional spend, support targeted outreach programs, and reduce cost-to-serve through data-backed recommendations.
Must have:
- Proven experience in revenue operations or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel macros, SQL); experience with machine learning and predictive modeling.
- Strong analytical, project management, and leadership skills.
