Summary
Acra Lending is seeking a Senior Analytics/Decision Consultant for designing and developing business solutions leveraging data and statistical models to drive business decisions. The role requires expertise in data science and analytics with a high level of business acumen in financial/mortgage services industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs.
- Review and research business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors.
- Develop understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for enhancements.
- Perform business scenario analysis and provide insights and solutions for given outcomes.
- Proficient in collecting, extracting, and analyzing data for operational execution and monitoring performance for financial reporting, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Lead or participate in large cross-group projects.
- Design and developing reporting packages and BI tools for ongoing monitoring.
- Support ad hoc requests and deliverables as is customary for a growing and changing organization.
- Working closely with the financial and accounting team, providing financial analysis support to various areas of the business.
- Able to work with other functional groups and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to be agile and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

- 3+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, and/or education.
- 5+ related experience in mortgage and/or financial services.
- Strong background in Modelling, Quantitative Finance and Programming SQL/Python/R.
- Working knowledge of reporting solutions and ability to develop dashboards leveraging Power BI.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, MS Teams, and SharePoint) skills
- Skilled with presenting data to tell a meaningful story that translates to diverse audience segments with varying levels of senior leadership.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Education bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience in data science or data analysis.
