Job Title: Data Analyst / BI Developer

Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid)

Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

Extract, clean, and transform data using tools such as SQL, Python, or Power Query.
Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
Automate data workflows and reporting processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and accuracy.
Conduct data analysis to uncover trends, insights, and business opportunities that support strategic decision-making.
Partner with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective data-driven solutions.
Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting platforms and datasets.
Continuously improve data collection, transformation, and visualization processes to support scalability and business growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced formulas, Power Query, macros), and Python for data automation.
Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI and visualization tools.
Solid understanding of ETL processes and data management best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience automating reporting pipelines using Python or Power Automate.
Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).
Strong understanding of business metrics and KPI reporting frameworks.
