Data Engineer (Contract) – Sports Tech & Entertainment | NYC (Hybrid)
6 month contract (option for extention)

$55-75/hr (Negotiable, depends on experience)
We’re seeking a Data Engineer to support our Customer Experience team at a leading sports tech and entertainment company. This role will focus on modernizing and optimizing existing data workflows as we transition from Redshift to Databricks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years enterprise experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and SOQL
- Hands-on experience with Redshift, Databricks, and DataGrip
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Tableau
- Experience building or modernizing analytics workflows in Databricks
Responsibilities:
- Modify and rebuild existing data pipelines and workflows from Redshift to Databricks.
- Support pre-processing of Salesforce data into structures for Tableau dashboards & adhoc analytics initiatives
- Analyze existing workflows to identify opportunities for consolidation and optimization
- Enhance performance and scalability by leveraging Databricks best practices
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements
- Identify and prioritize dependencies on data sources not yet migrated to Databricks
