Position Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to support the operations, maintenance, development, and enhancement of critical IT systems within an enterprise business data management environment for a leading government organization. This role offers the opportunity to work on mature, stable product components that form the backbone of financial and human resource reporting, process automation, document management, and data intelligence. As part of a collaborative team, you'll contribute to innovative solutions that drive efficiency and data-driven decision-making in a dynamic federal setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and optimizing the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), including data stores, data pipelines, and business intelligence tools for core financial and HR reporting.
- Developing and maintaining low-code custom web applications and databases for Financial Enterprise Data Management Tools (FEDMT) to automate office processes.
- Overseeing intranet-accessible web services for the Electronic Library for Financial Management Systems (EL4FMS), handling digital document storage, metadata, and report access.
- Implementing and supporting Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using SaaS platforms like Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud for data cataloging, lineage, and enterprise data practices.
- Maintaining the Infrastructure Code Table (ICT) system, including user interfaces and web services for CRUD operations on shared reference data.
- Facilitating revisions, publication, and presentation of reference documents through the Reference Document Management Services (RDMS) for daily use by internal teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills/Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on enterprise data warehouse (EDW) management, data pipelines, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Proficiency in low-code development platforms for building custom web applications and databases.
- Strong knowledge of web services, API development, and document management systems.
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools, such as Collibra or similar SaaS solutions for data cataloging and lineage.
- Familiarity with CRUD operations, reference data management, and content management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
- Preferred: Experience in federal or government IT environments, agile methodologies, and cloud-based technologies.
