Senior Data Engineer
Open to NYC hybrid or Edmonton Canada remote

Role Responsibilities:
Will work closely with the Backend and AI/ML teams to design build and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch and streaming data. The role involves integrating third party data operationalizing ML models and ensuring reliable high performance data systems across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines using Snowflake BigQuery Apache Beam Spark Cloud Run Airflow etc.
- Integrate data from third party providers and public sources.
- Ensure high reliability low latency and integrity of data services.
- Support operationalization of ML and NLP models in production.
- Collaborate closely with AI and ML and backend teams to implement data solutions.
- Build and maintain ETL and ELT workflows data models and pipelines.
- Contribute to internal best practices and standards for data engineering and ML operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5 plus years of experience in data engineering with strong ETL and ELT and pipeline development skills.
- Computer Science or Engineering background.
- Proficient in Python and TypeScript with familiarity in GCP Elasticsearch and other cloud technologies.
- Experience with low latency high volume data systems.
- Experience in operationalizing ML models in production preferably NLP.
- Strong problem solving skills reliability and attention to data integrity.
- Familiarity with Snowflake preferred and BigQuery. Experience migrating data platforms is a plus.
Location and Team
Primary location preference is Edmonton Alberta Canada( remote) or NYC hybrid
Compensation
Canadian- $150-175k base, offers bonus and equity
NYC- $180-200k, offers bonus and equity
