Get to Know This Role
The Senior Data Integration Engineer is a hands-on technical contributor within Sierra Nevada's Data Services team. Reporting to the Data Services Manager, this role designs, builds, and optimizes data integration solutions that connect the brewery's key business systems and power analytics, automation, and operational excellence. This position helps evolve our data platform strategy—strengthening data trust and lineage across the brewery while improving speed, quality, and transparency in how data flows through our systems. The ideal candidate brings strong data engineering and software development skills, ensuring integrations are scalable, reliable, and easy to maintain. What's In It For You
We’re committed to our employees and work hard to prove it. For starters, we’re offering $105,299 to $162,687 base compensation for this role. Individual offers are based on skills, experience, and qualifications. This role may be eligible for our bonus program – inquire with our Talent Acquisition Partner for additional details.

What You Will Do

Design, build, and maintain scalable data integration solutions that connect enterprise systems and ensure trusted, validated data movement.

Develop and optimize data pipelines and orchestration processes to support consistent, high-quality data across platforms.

Create and manage data mappings, transformation logic, and reusable templates to improve consistency and maintainability.

Implement and uphold modern engineering practices—including version control, automated testing, and linting—to ensure quality and maintainability.

Support data lineage, validation, and documentation to enhance visibility, traceability, and governance across the platform.

Contribute to the long-term integration and data architecture strategy, ensuring readiness for future automation and intelligent data services.

Collaborate closely with System Analysts and business partners to ensure integration logic accurately reflects business rules and process intent.

Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging integration technologies that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Please Apply if You Have

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or any combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved required

7 years experience in data integration, data engineering, or related software development roles required and
-
Experience in ETL/iPaaS and data orchestration platforms (Fivetran, Boomi, Databricks, or comparable tools) required and
-
Experience in Python and SQL for data manipulation, automation, and integration logic required and
-
Experience designing and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows, data validation, and database performance required and
-
Experience with DevOps practices, version control (Git), CI/CD, and automated testing required and
-
Experience supporting manufacturing, ERP, or industrial data environments preferred

Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Azure) preferred

Familiarity with or interest in using modern data automation and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to improve coding and documentation efficiency within established governance guardrails. preferred

Expertise in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and integrations.

Additional Requirements to Consider Before Applying
This is a remote role or hybrid based out of our Chico, CA or Mills River, NC brewery. Brewery based candidates are preferred.
You must be at least 21 years of age to work for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
