We’re looking for a roll-up-your-sleeves Front-End Web Developer who knows how to get things done. If you like working in jeans, enjoy a collaborative team environment, and can jump into a project without hand-holding, you’ll fit right in.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for full end-to-end front-end development—primarily within the Magento ecosystem. You’ll build new features, develop custom themes, maintain/improve legacy sites, and occasionally integrate with other platforms used across the organization. What You’ll Do
- Develop full projects within the Magento platform
- Maintain and enhance legacy customer websites
- Develop and implement custom front-end themes to match client branding or new creative
- Work with cross-platform integrations as needed
- Deliver clean, production-ready code with minimal oversight
What We’re Looking For (Basic Requirements)
- 3–5 years of front-end web development experience
- 3–5 years of e-commerce/shopping cart experience
- At least 2 years of hands-on Magento development in real production environments
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Solid understanding of PHP OOP and MVC frameworks
- Working knowledge of MySQL database concepts
- Comfortable with source control tools and versioning (Git, etc.)
- Ability to understand complex processes and translate them into clear technical solutions
- Strong attention to detail and desire for continuous learning
- A mindset that strives for high-quality, polished work
Additional Requirements (Magento-Focused)
- Expert understanding of Magento’s codebase, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback system
- Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS
- Deep experience customizing Magento front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templates
- Strong understanding of e-commerce data structures and relationships
- Confident writing JavaScript and working with libraries like jQuery
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations
- Personal ownership of production-level code
- Resourcefulness—able to leverage any tool to get the job done
- Comfortable working in Linux-based environments
Bonus Qualifications
- Magento Certification (highly preferred)
- Knowledge of PCI/PA-DSS compliance
- Experience integrating Magento with ERPs
- Experience with caching and scaling techniques
- Expertise in developing or extending Magento extensions
