Job Description
Our client is seeking a Power BI Analyst to support a data warehouse development team focused on business intelligence, reporting, and application analysis. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with PowerBI, PowerApps, data modeling, and requirements elicitation, working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and BI developers. This role involves analyzing requirements, designing data models, supporting ETL efforts, and enabling users to leverage reporting and Power Platform tools effectively to deliver actionable insights across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and clarify analytical and system requirements.
- Design and support Kimball-style dimensional data models for analytics and reporting workloads.
- Work closely with data engineers and BI developers to support data warehouse initiatives.
- Develop and enhance PowerBI reports, dashboards, datasets, and dataflows.
- Assist users with building, modifying, and integrating PowerApps and Power Platform solutions.
- Support Oracle Analytics and other enterprise BI tools as part of ongoing projects.
- Provide detailed system analysis to support data modeling, ETL design, and reporting needs.
- Translate business needs into technical documentation, including requirements, specifications, and workflows.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and usability across reporting and analytics systems.
- Participate in cross-functional project discussions and support team members across data, BI, and application domains.
- Troubleshoot BI, PowerApps, and data-related issues to ensure accurate reporting and system reliability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in systems analysis, data warehousing, and business intelligence environments.
- Proficiency with PowerBI, SQL, PowerApps, and Power Platform tools.
- Strong experience with data modeling techniques, including Kimball dimensional modeling.
- Familiarity with ETL concepts and supporting data integration processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to clearly document requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Azure or Oracle Cloud is a plus.
