Our client, a leader in aerospace technology and safety-critical navigation solutions, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Sr Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Sr Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing embedded real-time safety-critical navigational software, supporting both hardware and software integration, and ensuring compliance with government and safety standards. Location: Clearwater, FL
Preferably On-site, but remote is available for people outside FL.
Pay Range: 80-90 USD per hour
What's the Job?
- Lead the full lifecycle development of embedded real-time safety-critical navigational software, from requirements to certification.
- Perform requirements decomposition and assign work to team members effectively.
- Design and implement sensor management and navigational features, including IMU, GPS, and ranging/aiming functions.
- Develop and optimize software architecture supporting multiple hardware designs using C/C++.
- Coordinate integration, system activities, and external verification & validation efforts to ensure compliance and quality.
What's Needed?
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering with proficiency in C/C++.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics Nucleus real-time OS, low-level drivers, and hardware bring-up.
- Knowledge of inertial sensors, GPS (M-Code), Kalman Filter, and position/ranging functionalities.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies such as waterfall and Agile.
