Data Analyst & Business Analyst
Shift: M-F 10am-2pm EST (part time, 20 hours per week)
Notes:

Part time estimated 20 hours per week (flexible)

BA Degree required. Business Administration, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
The manager is looking for candidates with more contract/billing/business analysis background. While the current candidates are strong, there is concern they may lean too heavily toward pure data analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as Business Administration, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in a data analysis or business analysis role, preferably with experience in combined functions.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
Strong knowledge of and experience with querying databases using SQL.
Experience with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis is a plus.
Experience with ERP or CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) is beneficial.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst and Business Analyst to join our team for a project. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to identify trends, solve problems, and provide actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. This role requires a blend of strong technical data skills and an understanding of business operations to translate data findings into practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Management: Gather data from various primary and secondary sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets, etc.) and assist in designing and maintaining databases/data systems to ensure optimal data quality and efficiency.
Data Cleaning and Preparation: Clean, organize, and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability for analysis.
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Use statistical tools and methods to analyze complex datasets, interpret trends or patterns, and perform diagnostic and predictive analytics to uncover insights.
Business Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes, workflows, and procedures to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand business needs, gather requirements, and define the scope of problems and potential solutions.
Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau to communicate findings clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders and management.
Recommendation and Implementation Support: Based on analysis, provide data-backed recommendations for process changes or new systems and support the implementation and testing of these solutions.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, requirements, analyses, and data-related procedures.
