Looking for US Citizens or GC holder in Boston Metropolitan area (No sponsorships available).

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong SSIS and SQL Server experience to support the analysis and documentation of legacy systems during a modernization project. The role involves reviewing SSIS packages, SQL objects, and Access components to capture logic, data flows, and system dependencies.

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on SSIS development and analysis
Strong SQL Server / T-SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, schema understanding)
Experience analyzing and reverse-engineering SSIS packages
Basic experience with MS Access (queries, linked tables)
Good understanding of ETL concepts, data lineage, and dependencies
Ability to document data flows, logic, and metadata
Good communication skills and ability to work with SMEs

Responsibilities

Analyze and document existing SSIS packages, SQL objects, and data flows
Reverse-engineer legacy ETL logic and dependencies
Build simple metadata tables, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation
Work with SMEs to validate business rules
Provide clear, searchable documentation for technical teams

Exp: 5-12 years

Location: Boston Metropolitan area.

Working Model-Initial onsite for 3 months later on hybrid depending upon the performance and client approvals
