Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Product Analyst to join our Product Team at a high-growth personal homeowners insurance company. As a Senior Product Analyst at Bamboo Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our insurance products and pricing strategies by helping to provide data-driven insights into product performance. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that our homeowners insurance offerings are competitive, compliant with regulatory requirements, and financially sound. This is an exciting opportunity for a product professional looking to make a significant impact in the property and casualty insurance industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets using SQL and Python to support pricing initiatives for homeowners insurance.
Monitor the performance of insurance products by conducting in-depth data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that inform product decisions.
Develop dashboards and visualizations using Python libraries and SQL reporting tools.
Develop, review, and refine pricing strategies and models for homeowners insurance products to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
Collaborate with underwriting, product management, and compliance teams to design and modify insurance products based on market insights and data analytics.
Continuously evaluate and improve existing data extraction and cleaning processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve complex situations and issues. Deals well with ambiguity.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to lead projects independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of insurance industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, data science, statistics, or related quantitative field.
A minimum of five years of experience in property and casualty insurance
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python).

Preferred Requirements:

Prior experience working with homeowners insurance products, especially in Texas and/or California

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary: Starting at $100,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience and abilities will be taken into consideration for final offer.
