Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures that support our data analytics initiatives. You will work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure that data is accessible, reliable, and efficiently processed. This role requires a strong understanding of database design, data warehousing concepts, and proficiency in various programming languages.

Duties

Design and implement scalable data pipelines to process large volumes of data from various sources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools such as Informatica.
Optimize existing data systems for performance and reliability.
Ensure data quality through rigorous testing and validation processes.
Create and maintain documentation for data models, processes, and workflows.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data engineering.

Skills

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java for data manipulation and automation tasks.
Strong knowledge of SQL for querying databases and managing large datasets.
Experience with data warehousing solutions and concepts, including database design principles.
Familiarity with Linked Data principles to enhance the usability of datasets.
Understanding of server management practices to ensure optimal performance of data systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
