Oversee the daily business functions of the assigned division or district section that may include financial management, project accounting and procurement activities.

How you will contribute:

Administrative and Business Support: Provide a variety of administrative support functions to assigned work unit. Interpret a variety of VDOT, State and Federal policies and procedures in daily work tasks.

Fiscal and Budget: Coordinate financial and budgetary activities for assigned work unit. Prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, reconcile data and prepare reports.

Procurement: Develop, coordinate and oversee Division or District specific contracts that support the delivery of the core program. Review invoices and vouchers, make payments and reconcile data.

A combination of training, experience, or education in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field desired.

Knowledge of federal and state accounting principles and practices.

Prior work experience with financial management systems.
