Job Title: Robotics Software Engineer (ROS)

About the Role

We are seeking a Robotics Software Engineer with hands-on experience in the Robot Operating System (ROS) ecosystem to join our team. You will be responsible for developing, integrating, and testing robotic systems for industrial and research applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about robotics, enjoys problem-solving, and has demonstrated success in developing robotic behaviors and navigation capabilities.

Responsibilities

Design and implement software modules using C++ and Python within ROS.
Develop and maintain ROS nodes, topics, services, actions, and launch files.
Integrate sensors, actuators, and navigation components within the ROS framework.
Work with ROS navigation stack for mapping, localization, and path planning.
Develop simulation and visualization tools using Rviz, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, and URDF/Xacro for robot modeling.
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate software with hardware.
Manage code using Git and follow software development best practices.
Conduct testing, debugging, and optimization on Ubuntu/Linux systems.

Qualifications

Required:

Proficiency in C++ and Python for robotics software development.
Solid understanding of ROS fundamentals (nodes, topics, services, actions, parameters).
Familiarity with the ROS navigation stack (mapping, localization, planning).
Understanding of robotics kinematics, control, and perception concepts.
Experience with Rviz, Gazebo, and URDF/Xacro.
Strong command of the Linux (Ubuntu) environment.
Familiarity with Git version control.

Preferred:

Experience with IsaacSim or other advanced simulators.
Academic background in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Participation in robotics competitions, open-source projects, or personal robotics builds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
